Technical, feature, marketing, and instructional writers
- Three or more years working as a writer in a corporate environment
- Thorough knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, notably Word and Outlook
- Experience with web publishing tools and/or content management systems highly desirable
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Skill at establishing and managing relationships and workflow
- Strong customer focus
Editing
Technical and content editors
- Three or more years working as an editor in a technical or corporate environment
- Thorough knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, notably Word and Outlook
- Experience with web publishing tools and/or content management systems highly desirable
- Passion for excellent punctuation, perfect grammar, clarity of expression, and helping content shine
- Ability to juggle several editing tasks or projects
- Understanding of web usability and marketing principles
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Skill at establishing and managing relationships and workflow
- Strong customer focus
Marketing Communications
- Three or more years developing and/or executing marketing communications strategies in a corporate environment, preferably with technology-oriented products and services
- Strong knowledge of and experience with social media technologies
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Excellent project management and time management skills
Web Production
- Three or more years working as a technical/web producer
- Strong skills in HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS; Flash and/or Silverlight skills preferred
- Ability to integrate small, purpose-specific code into
webpages
- Experience with CMS and bug tracking systems, and ability to learn new
web publishing environments and platforms quickly
- Strong graphic/design sensibilities; ability to optimize graphics for the
web
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work with multiple overlapping projects and assignments in a high-volume publishing environment
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Strong organization and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
with clients
- Strong problem-solving skills
Web Development
- Five or more years working as a technical web producer/developer
- Experience developing HTML, DHTML, XML schemas, XSLT transformations, C++, C# based ASP.NET
web applications, SQL databases, JavaScript, CSS, Flash, Silverlight, and/or other applicable programming languages
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Ability to work with multiple overlapping projects and assignments in a high-volume publishing environment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Degree in computer science a plus
Project Management
- Three or more years working as a project manager in a corporate environment, preferably on
web or technology-oriented projects
- Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, scope projects, create estimates and statements of work, and manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and resources through to project completion
- Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint
- Mastery of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using a variety of project tracking and management tools and customer relationship applications
- Experience working with Microsoft proprietary web platforms highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team; demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual office setting a plus
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
